Information
* Safety First – for you, your horse and us.
For the safety of the horses in our care, no horse going across state lines will be loaded on the trailer without a current health certificate and current negative coggins test. A horse that can’t be handled safely or with any signs of illness will not be allowed to be loaded on the trailer. Transportation fee will not be refunded if, upon arrival for pickup, the horses are not halter broke or show signs of illness.
If your horse has never been hauled but has been handled we are happy to haul your horse and will work hard to make it a positive experience for them. Please don’t ask us to haul your horse if it’s dangerous or aggressive.
Before pickup
- Please make sure all boarding costs are paid in full.
- Final payments on horse purchases are made and cleared.
- If money is owed to the barn or seller and the horse is unable to be picked up, the transportation deposit will NOT be refunded.
- Horse is or will be halter broke by pick up date
- A good quality halter of either leather or flat nylon along with a lead rope for each horse. (no rope halters)
- Please provide 1 bale of hay for the trip. We do not supply hay because we would rather have your horse eat the hay he or she is accustomed to.
- For traveling across state Lines:
- Health certificate (must be dated within 30 days of DELIVERY date.)
- Current Negative Coggins (EIA Test) (must be dated within one year of DELIVERY date.)
- We cannot accept Coggins or Health Certificates that will expire during the trip.
- Proper vaccinations as per vet for travel
- Brand inspection (If required). A horse only needs a Brand Inspection if it is LEAVING one of the brand inspection states of Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Utah, Washington and Wyoming.
- Transporter will not apply any leg wraps. If wrapped and the wraps/boots start to come off, we will take ALL the wraps/boots off that horse, and deliver them as tack with the horse. We will not re-wrap/boot the horse.
